Respawn banning players found quitting the game

After all the hype around Apex Legends Season 3, it has finally arrived. The last couple of weeks have all been about the highly anticipated hacker Crypto and a new planet. And finally, its time for Crypto to rule the new World’s Edge as both Crypto and the new map are live now. The new Season 3 also added a new Battle Pass. Moreover, Season 3 also introduced the Charge Rifle as a new weapon. But the new weapon needed to be nerfed as it was too strong, following which, Respawn responded to players’ requests and released an update to patch the Charge Rifle. Apex Legends Season 3 also introduced a game-quitting bug that allows players to avoid losing ranked-point losses when losing competitive games. And now, Respawn is banning players who are found abusing the bug, simply quitting matches with Alt-F4 to avoid the RP penalties in Ranked Leagues.

“We’ve temporarily banned players detected to be heavy abusers of quitting the game to avoid penalties in ranked,” Respawn producer Drew McCoy said.

“PC players have been able to leave matches early without incurring a loss of ranking points. Going forward we will not hesitate to punish players who abuse new exploits and will increase penalties as we see fit, including permanent bans and revoking RP.”
