Xiaomi Survival Game

Xiaomi has launched its new battle royale game called ‘Survival Game’ on its own Mi app store. Xiaomi has been testing the beta version of the game for some time now, and the company has finally released the full version of the game for everyone to download. Currently, the game is exclusively available on Xiaomi’s own app store and it might take some time before it comes to the Play Store.

The Survival game from Xiaomi is very reminiscent of other battle royale games in the market like Pubg and Fortnite. It seems Xiaomi has drawn some feature form the battle royale strategy of Tencent and Epic games. The beta version of the Survival Game could not amount up to much as it was said to be lacking in quality like Pubg Nad Fortnite offer.

The gameplay of Survival game is similar to Pubg in which players have to jump off a plane, scavenge the area for supplies and square off with other players to be the last one standing. Xiaomi claims in the app store that the game is developed specially for the Indian market, and aims to tap the country’s love for such competitive games.

The game is available on Mi app store with a file size of 185MB and has been uploaded by a developer called ‘SuperEdguy’.

The Survival game slightly varies itself from the likes of Pubg by offering equipment like jetpacks which according to the company will give players a more tactical experience. The game also offers different avatar that the users can choose to play as, which will help the players have a different experience every round of the game.

“Each match starts with players parachuting from the spaceship onto a map area. Players could decide when and where to land on the battlefield. All resources are searched and retrieved from the map, and players can fight with their competitors at any time. The last one standing will be the winner,” the company explains in the game description.

However, according to the users who have got their hand on the game, Xiaomi has a lot of catching up to do in order to compete with the likes of Tencent’ Pubg and Epic Game’s Fortnite. The first impression of the game came as average and gives a feel of a first-time school project.

The gaming industry has lately been focusing on smartphone gaming experience and as a result, the games on smartphones these days are getting really immersive. Games like Pubg and Fortnite keep up the competition with regular updates and bug fixes. Xiaomi, looking to tap into the lucrative gaming market for smartphones, will have to come up with a unique and feature-full gaming experience in order to stay relevant.
