Zoom has announced that it will be available across a wide variety of devices in the near future.

Zoom has turned out to be one of the biggest players in this pandemic. They are the ones who have risen a lot this year and they have also provided quality services to date.

Zoom is trying to stay right ahead in the race even after the Corona pandemic is over and people are back to normal life. For this, they are planning to extend the number of devices and types of devices they support.

According to the blog post, Zoom for Home will be made available for smart display devices like Amazon Echo Show, Portal by Facebook and Google Next Hub Max.

Not much of a difference from the current Zoom structure but yes every company will have its own way of implementing Zoom in their device.

When do they arrive

Amazon and Google would make full use of Alexa and Google’s Assistant to set up your meetings on the go. If you have your calendar synced then its a bonus for you as you will have everything set by the extremely smart voice assistants.

Facebook doesn’t have any voice assistant of its own. They will make sure to use their smart camera feature at its fullest. Facebook Portal will use Portal’s smart camera tech to help keep people in frame for better video calls. Zoom would be available on Portal Mini, Portal,Portal+ from September itself. Support for Portal TV will take a bit more time.

People using Amazon and Google devices will have to wait till the end of the year to get the Zoom support.

Quite good to see that Zoom is expanding its reach by adding support for new devices. Technology is being used at its best in this current situation. From adding the meeting password and joining the meeting to just saying Hey Google, join my next meeting. We have come a long way.
