Bengaluru Need You is a platform which initiates various projects considering the social factors and the need to bring the change. It is launching its first Environmental Action Internship under the guidance of Prof. Rajeev Gowda of IIM-Bangalore. It is a 2 week long internship and is expected to commence from 12 May, 2014.
The urbanization is on rise, imbalancing the ecosystem. This internship is an opportunity for the youth to get hands on experience with various issues of development, sustainability and environment in Bangalore city. It also includes Resource Management, Environmental policies, aspects of biodiversity and much more. There are many challenges to our ecosystem, which has to be understood by the interns through this project and are expected to think out of the box to deal with such issues.
The internship is open to the general public who are very keen in improving the environment. The internship will be conducted from Studio Chaape on Church street. The debates, group activities, field visits, roleplays, workshops etc; are all part of the internship. The intern will also be exposed to documentary movies, videography and photography. The entry is free and one should be above 17 years of age to participate in the program.
