Apple recently announced that their fitness subscription service, also known as Fitness+ will be launched on 14th December which can be shared with around six family members at no extra cost. To start with, the service will be available in US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and News Zealand before rolling out to other countries.

Fitness+ intelligently incorporates metrics from Apple Watch for users to visualize directly on their iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and offers a first-of-its-kind personalised workout experience. Jay Blahnik, the senior director of Apple’s Fitness Technologies, said in a statement that they are excited for Apple Fitness+ to bring together the metrics from Apple Watch, great music and a diverse and inspiring trainer team in a simple and easy-to-access way among Apple devices for encouraging users to get fit and stay healthy.

The service aims to provide personalised recommendations to help customers quickly get to their next workout and uses Apple Watch to offer an engaging experience to help them stay motivated throughout.

At launch, users can conveniently find Fitness+ in the tab located at the new Fitness app on iPhone which will also come on iPad and Apple TV, according to the company. Fitness+ will launch with the most popular workout types which includes Cycling, Treadmill, Rowing, HIIT, Strength, Yoga, Dance, Core and Mindful Cooldown. Every week, the team of Fitness+ trainers will deliver fresh workouts from the studio among a range of lengths, disciplines and music genres so there are always new workouts to explore.

Additionally, while using Fitness+, all workout data will be saved at the Health app on iPhone and neither calories or the workouts and trainers users choose will be stored with their Apple ID, as stated by Apple.
