BJP to hold National council on Jan 11-12 at Ramlila Maidan, ‘Temporary PMO’ set for Narendra Modi at venue

Eyeing to retain power in the centre, Bhartiya Janta party is set to host its 2 days National Council meeting starting from Friday, January 11 at Ramlila Ground, New Delhi. According to those familiar with the development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be a part of BJP’s largest organizational body meet. Thousands of delegates are expected to join the event that is aimed to fix the tone for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 Elections.

Chief Ministers of all BJP ruled states will also be coming to be a part of the mega event to deliberate upon the poll preparedness for the 2019 Lok Sabha Battle.

BJP president Amit Shah will inaugurate the event while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to deliver the concluding speech on Saturday, which party leaders believe will lay down its agenda for the general elections. A temporary PMO will also be setup at the Ramleela Maidan from where the Prime Minister may attend his routine work. He will remain present on both days of the meeting,” Delhi Co-incharge Tarun Chugh said.

Sources claimed that passage of the bill granting reservation to upper caste has helped to set the tone for party workers after their poor show in recently concluded assembly elections.

BJP believes that the Bill, that will become legislation after President’s nod will help the party to reach its traditional upper castes. 10% general reservation for EWS bill gets Rajya Sabha approval too, step away to become law

Party sources said the Modi government’s measures, like granting constitutional status to the OBC Commission and strengthening the law on atrocities against Dalits and tribals, are likely to be highlighted and projected as part of its “social justice” project.
