Lok Sabha Polls 2019: Here is the list of Candidates announced by Congress-led UPA

The National Elections are slated to begin from April 11 and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. 91 Constituencies will poll on First Phase on April 11, 97 Constituencies will go to polls on April 18, 115 in the third phase on April 23,71 Lok Sabha Seats in Fourth Phase on April 29, 51 seats will poll in Fifth Round on May 06.

While remaining 59 seats each will poll in Sixth and Seventh round of polling on May 12 and May 19

Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

Gearing for the mega battle of ballots all parties is leaving no stone unturned to outdo its opposition. Political Parties in a run-up to the polls 2019 has inked many poll alliance. The Major of them is the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Opposition’s Congress-led United Progressive Alliance(UPA).

The Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to contest on 450 seats while leaving remaining for its allies. The BJP has already announced its candidates on 400 Candidates.

While the opposition Congress who is expected to contest on 430 seats has also declared its Candidates on 383 seats. Several parties are contesting under the umbrella of UPA this election.

Ruling Bhartiya Janta Party has also started rolling out lists of Candidates with PM Modi seeking re-election from Varanasi Parliamentary Seat, BJP President Amit Shah contesting from Gandhinagar Seat replacing LK Advani.

Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019. Lok Sabha Polls are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.
