Gearing up for the Lok Sabha Polls and State Polls in Odisha that slated to be clubbed, Biju Janta Dal Chief Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday declared another list of 36 Candidates for Odisha State Polls. The Odisha ruling party in its first list announced Incumbent Chief Minister Patnaik will contest from Hinjili and Bijepur assembly constituencies.

BJD Chief Naveen Patnaik who has already made it clear that he will not go with an alliance and will contest polls on its own announced names another 36 in addition to 54 names already announced. The 36 names include:

  1. Sanjay Kumar Das Bu Satyabadi from Brahmagiri
  2. Umakant Samantray from Satyabadi
  3. Satyanarayan Pradhan from Ranapur
  4. Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo from Nayagarh
  5. Ashok Chandra Panda from Ekamra-BBSR
  6. Debi Prasad Mishra from Baramba-Narsinghpur
  7. Debi Ranjan Tripath from Banki
  8. Ranendra Pratap Swain from Athagarh
  9. Souvic Biswal from Choudwar-Cuttack
  10. Sudhir Kumar Samal from Dhenkanal
  11. Simarani Nayak from Hindol
  12. Prafulla Kumar Malli from Kamakhyanag
  13. Nrusingha Charan Sah from Parjanga
  14. Braja Kishore Pradhan from Talcher
  15. Rajani Kant Singh from Angul
  16. Kishore Chandra Nayak from Kuchinda
  17. Sushant Kumar Behera from Chhendipada
  18. Premananda Naik from Telkoi
  19. Badri Narayan Patra from Ghasipura
  20. Jagannatha Naik from Patna
  21. Madhav Sardar from Keonjhar
  22. Basanti Hembram from Karanjia
  23. Ananta Das from Bhograi
  24. Sudhansu Sekhar Parida from Remuna
  25. Prafulla Samal from Bhandaripokhan
  26. Bishnu Brata Routray from Basudevpur
  27. Byomakesh Ray from Chandabali
  28. Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi from Simulia
  29. Smt.Pramila Mallik from Binjharpur
  30. Pranab Ku.Balabantaray from Dharmala
  31. Pritiranjan Gharai from Sukinda
  32. Bed Prakash Agarwalla from Pathura
  33. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak from Mahakalpada
  34. Pratap Keshari Deb from Aul
  35. Pratap Jena from Mahanga
  36. Prashanta Behera from Salipur

While the party in the day has also announced candidates on 9 Lok Sabha Seats. The Odisha ruling party as of now has released 90 candidates for the state elections that are slated to conduct along with General Elections.

BJD in a run-up to the polls will take on aggressive Bhartiya Janta Party and Congress who has inked an alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

The Counting of votes for the mega battle of ballots will take place on May 23, four days after last round of polling.

The Odisha State Polls will be clubbed with the General Elections 2019. The State will Poll in four rounds of Polling starting from April 11. The State has a total of 147 State Assembly while having 21 Lok Sabha Seats.

Currently, BJD has  117 lawmakers in the state assembly.
