Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati dissolved all of its Rajasthan executive committee on Monday. President Sita Ram and 12 others were dissolved from their respective office role.

Connecting the DOTS:-

It has been reported that the BSP chief is disappointed with the failure of the party’s organizational structure in Rajasthan after the recent induction of all 6 MLAs of BSP into the Congress.

The dissolving of the state executive committee can also be linked to the event that happened on Monday night. It has been reported that around 20 people entered the BSP office and assaulted a few senior party leaders. Few party workers accused the senior party leaders of not taking any action. At the time of the alleged attack, BSP state president Sita Ram and senior leaders Ramji Gautam, Bhagwan Singh Baba were at the meeting.

The released statement also carries the name of two national leaders who have been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the party’s process in the state. National Co-ordinator Ramji Gautam and former Rajya Sabha MP Munquad Ali have been appointed for the same. Previously, Munquad Ali was also appointed as the President of Uttar Pradesh unit.

The leaders who had left the side of Mayawati and joined the Congress party are-

  1. Rajendra Gudd (Udaipurwati)
  2. Jogendra Singh Awana (Nadbai)
  3. Wajib Ali (Nagar Bharatpur)
  4. Lakhan Singh Meena (Karoli)
  5. Sandeep Yadav (Tijara)
  6. Deepchand Kheria (Kishangarhbas)

Rajendra Gudd, one of the leaders who joined the grand old party, said that he was impressed with the working of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The induction of these 6 members in Congress party has raised the party’s strength to 106 seats in the state. Rajasthan assembly speaker CP Joshi has also cleared the membership process of these leaders.

Speaking on the matter, Mayawati expressed her anger with the Congress party on a Twitter message. The leader also termed the Congress party as “fraudulent party“.

TIW’s Take-

It can be seen that the Mayawati has decided to take up the party reins in her hand and overhaul the existing organization of the party. The leader can also be seen strongly in action when it comes to fighting the elections independently.

Bahujan Samaj Party national General Secretary Satish Mishra has said that the BSP will contest solo in Haryana polls. This can be seen as another development for BSP to carve its future political journey alone. Previously in Uttar Pradesh also, the ties with Akhilesh Yadav‘s Samajwadi Party were snapped off.

Now, upcoming polls in Haryana and by-polls in Uttar Pradesh will be a real litmus test for the Mayawati’s decision.
