In an unusual move, All India Congress Committee dissolved it’s Himachal Pradesh unit on Wednesday. However, the incumbent party president has been made to continue like before.
A press release conveying the decision was issued by KC Venugopal, AICC general secretary. It can be seen as a way to renovate the party’s structure in some states. Kuldeep Singh Rathore is the president of the Himachal President Congress unit will continue on his position. In a press release, the party issued an official statement, “Congress president Sonia Gandhi has dissolved the office bearers and executive members of PCC, DCCs and BCCs of Himachal Pradesh with immediate effect.”
