Ram Vilas Paswan‘s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), an ally of Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has ramped up the pressure on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with their demands for seat share in Bihar and to add seats in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Pashupati Paras, a top leader in the LJP and a member of the Paswan clan, demanded that his party should get the same seat share in Bihar that they got in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. His demands also included seats for the LJP in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.

“We are asking for what is rightfully ours. We are an honest partner of the NDA. We are asking for the same number of seats that we fought from in 2014. We definitely want seats from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh as well, as our vote bank exists in these states. Time is running out now. We want Amit Shah to finalize this by December 31. We want them (BJP)
to maintain the sanctity of the coalition,” Pashupati Paras told ANI.

Moreover, In another major development, Lok Janshakti Party shots off a warning to BJP to finalize the seat-sharing, There is an urgent need to address the concerns of allies in an honorable manner else it could cause loss to the ruling party, said the party

Son of Party Chief Ram Vilas Paswaan LJP Leader, Chirag Paswaan tweeted, “After TDP and RLSP left the alliance, NDA is passing through a critical phase. BJP must address the concerns of the remaining allies in a respectable manner before it’s too late.”

In another tweet, Chirag Paswan said, “there had been a number of meetings and rounds of discussions with BJP over seat-sharing in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, but there has been no substantial progress. “There would be losses if a final decision is not taken well in time.”

LJP’s ultimatum comes in the backdrop of another NDA ally, Upendra Kushwaha‘s Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) severing ties with the NDA and resigned as the Union Minister from Modi Government after their demands were met with a stoic silence from the BJP.

Earlier, Chirag Paswan while speaking on a Programme of a TV Channel said that “LJP is with NDA and will remain with NDA” He dismissed all rumors and speculations about LJP quitting BJP led NDA.

But LJP seems not happy with the BJP for buying more time to finalize the seat-sharing deal.
