As a key antiquity of long Jewish history in India, PM Modi gifted two relics from Kerela to PM Netanyahu. It has two copper plates which are believed to be inscribed in 9-10th century. These relics are cherished and regarded by Cochin Jew in India as a sanction describing their privileged inherent and indemnity by Hindu King, Cheranam Perumal to the Jewish leader Joseph Rabban. Joesph Rabban was later crowned as a Prince of Shingli, a place in Cranganore, a place where Jews enjoyed their religious and cultural practices before they moved to Cochin. These relics are believed be the most earlier documentation of the Jewish trade in India. These plates describe the authority of land and tax privilege given by Hindu rulers to Church.

PM mentioned that the replicas of these relics were made possible with the cooperation of Malankara Mar Thomas Syrian Church in Kerela.
