Telangana Polls: Badminton Star Jwala Gutta’s name goes missing from voters list

As the voting to elect 119 assembly seat in Telangana begins on Friday, A lot of people thronged the streets early morning to cast their votes. However, Indian Badminton Star Jwala Gutta seemed angry after her name was missing from the voting list.

Indian badminton player took to Twitter to express her anger. She tweeted: Surprised to see my name disappear from the voting list after checking online!! #whereismyvote

 

In another tweet she questioned the fairness of the assembly polls: She tweeted: “How’s the election fair…when names are mysteriously disappearing from the list!!”

A lot of people after struggling for hours could not find out that their names. However, Jwala Gutta has claimed that she had checked her name online first, and despite that, her name had disappeared from the list.

The ECI had announced that Telangana Assembly Polls will be held in a single-phase manner on December 7. The Counting will take place on December 11 along with other state assembly elections.
