The greatest player of all time, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, commonly known as Pelé, left everyone on December 29, 2022.

He was a Brazilian footballer who used to play forward and was also labeled as a great player by FIFA.

Pelé is the only player in the world to win the World Cup three times.

He was the most successful and popular person in the 20th century.

Career

Pelé began playing for Santos when he was 15 years old.

Later that year, he represented Brazil on the national team.

To date, he is the youngest player to ever score a goal for Brazil. He did it when he was just 16.

He represented his country in the first World Cup in 1958. His first match was against the USSR.

He also scored a hat-trick in that World Cup, making his mark on history by being the youngest player to do so.

In the final against Sweden, he scored two goals when Brazil won the World Cup.

He had already made his mark everywhere by the time the 1962 World Cup began.

As he was the best-rated player around the globe. Although he wasn’t able to play the entire tournament,

He got injured during the match against Czechoslovakia, which led him to be benched for the rest of the tournament.

Even though Brazil won the World Cup for the second time in a row.

1970 World Cup, the Brazilian team saw major changes as many of the same great names had already retired.

However, there were still the same great names that were known all around the world.

It was a great year for Pelé, as he was scoring marvelous goals.
As their tournament went on, Brazil faced Italy in the final.

Pelé scored the opening goal with a great header, scoring Brazil’s 100th World Cup goal.

In the end, Brazil won the match 4-1 as Pelé lifted his third World Cup.

Final International Game

He played his last international match against Yugoslavia on July 18, 1971.

It was said that Brazil never lost a match with Pelé and Garrincha on the field.
