After India won the first ODI and took the lead in the series as Australia won the second one and equaled the series.

Australia came to India for the tour that included three ODIS and four test matches.

India defeated Australia 2-1 in the Border Gavaskar test series, advancing both nations to the test final, which will take place at the Oval in June.

Given that the ODI World Cup is taking place this year, the test series was followed by the ODI series.

India won the first game and displayed remarkable talent as the second game was about to begin.

On March 19, the second ODI was held at Visakhapatnam.

Australia chose to field first after winning the toss.

Rohit Sharma was back in the lineup to serve as the team’s captain.

India Innings

With Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma started the innings.

The openers were not given a chance to relax as Mitchell Starc dismissed Shubman on the third delivery.

He took two significant wickets in the following over after getting rid of Shubman Gill.

In two consecutive deliveries, Mitchell removed both Rohit and Surya Kumar from the game.

None of the Indian batters could get comfortable and start scoring runs because of the Australian bowling.

Virat, who also lost his wicket to Nathan Ellis, managed to add a few runs to the total.

Given the low number of runs on the scoreboard and the rapid loss of wickets, the Indian batting order was in serious trouble.

Axar Patel in the end tried to add some runs in total as India lost all their wickets at a total of 117.

Mitchell Starc took a haul of five wickets as Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis also took three and two wickets.

Australia Innings

Australia started the game with two batters, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh.

Both of the openers appeared to be rushing to reach the target and complete the game.

They were both driving the Australian squad to victory on their own.

Also, both of them reached their half-centuries, which helped Australia win the game.

After winning the game, the series will remain tied since the team that triumphs in the final ODI will determine the series winner.

Mitchell Starc’s five-wicket haul earned him the honour of being named the ‘Player of the match’.
