The Bangladesh team visited Zimbabwe for three matches in an ODI series from August 5th to 10th.
Zimbabwe, after winning the last two matches, has already taken over the series.
Bangladesh will be looking for a win so that they can at least end the series on a positive note for their players.
The 3rd and final ODI of the series took place in Harare.
ZIM won the toss and was elected to bowl first.
First Innings
The BAN side opened the innings with Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque.
They both gave a stable start to the BAN team. They were rotating the strike and also clearing boundaries when required.
When their partnership started to grow, Tamim was run-out for an unwanted run by Ngarava.
In the next over, Brad Evans sent Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim back to the pavilion.
BAN was in great trouble due to the frequent loss of wickets.
Anamul Haque kept on going from one side as he also completed his half-century.
His 76 runs score added valuable runs to the total of the BAN team and saved the game as well.
Luke Jongwe didn’t let him complete his century as he took his wicket.
Afif Hossain, playing a wonderful knock in between of 85 runs, led their team to a total of 256 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Brad Evans and Luke Jongwe took two wickets each in limiting the BAN team.
Second Innings
Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Tadiwanashe Marumani opened the innings for the ZIM team.
The BAN bowlers didn’t let the batsmen of ZIM settle as they struck from the first over itself.
Hasan Mahmud sending Kaitano back to the pavilion in the first over itself and Hasan Miraz sending Marumani in the next over gave them two big breakthroughs.
Ebadot Hossain took two wickets in two balls as he sent back Wessely and Sikandar and was also on a hat-trick.
The BAN bowlers did an amazing job as there were frequent breakthroughs.
Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets in his over as he pushed ZIM away from the game.
Rahman took four major wickets. Ebadot Hossain and Taijul Islam took two wickets each, limiting the ZIM batsmen to a total of just 151 runs.
BAN won the match by 105 runs as Afif Hossain was the player of the match and Sikhandar Raza was the player of the series.
