India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs on Sunday on the third day of the day/night test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With this, India won the two-match series with 2-0 score and fixed its position at the top of World Test Championship standings with 360 points in 6 matches. India also registered their first ever Pink-ball match win.

Resuming at 152/6 on the third day of the match, Bangladesh lost seven wickets as Umesh Yadav dismissed Ebadat Hossain. Bangladesh was bundled out for 193 in the third day. Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav picked 4 wickets and 5 wickets respectively.
