India lost the first two T-20I matches against the West Indies in the five-match series.

They were looking strong after winning the Test and ODI series.

The main players of the Indian team are given rest while the new players are given the chance to prove themselves.

First Match

The first T-20I was played on August 3rd at Tarouba.

The West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first.

West Indies Innings

Brandon King and Kyle Mayers opened the inning for WI.

Brandon was looking good, but Yuzvendra Chahal didn’t let them settle down for long.

He took the wicket of both openers in the same over.

With the knocks by Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell, they reached a total of 149/6.

India Innings

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opened the Innings for India, but they soon lost their wickets.

Tilak Varma, the debutant for the Indian team in between, played a good knock of 39 runs.

His knock kept India in the game, but in the end, India lost by four runs.

West Indies took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Second Match

The second match was going to be played at Providence on August 6th.

India, winning the toss, elected to bat first.

India Innings

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opened the inning for India.

Shubman yet again failed to play a good knock as he lost his
wicket to Joseph.

Tilak Varma, in between, handled the situation as he completed his half-century.

With his beautiful knock of 51 runs, India reached a low total of 152/7.

Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, and Romario Shepherd all took two wickets each.

West Indies Innings

Brandon King and Kyle Mayers opened the inning for them, as on the first ball itself, Brandon lost his wicket.

Nicholas Pooran, standing like a pillar for the West Indies team, completed his half-century.

With his knock of 67 runs, the West Indies reached close to the total.

In the end, Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein took them to their second victory.

If India wants to win the series, they have to win all the remaining matches, whereas the West Indies just have to win a single match.
