While addressing at Maharana Pratap and Guru Vashistha award ceremony, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced that the sports person of the state who have won the national and international-level awards will be given out-of-turn government jobs. She added that this proposal will be discussed in the next cabinet meeting.

She also said that the government will also think about starting a pension scheme for international sportsmen over 60 years of age. The Chief Minister added that for the promotion of sports as a comprehensive policy will be brought next year, so that sports academies could be setup with private sectors.

During the award ceremony, 41 sportsperson were honored with Maharana Pratap awards, 13 trainers were given Guru Vashishtha awards and 41 budding sportsperson were given rising star awards.
