India starts their World Cup tour by playing its first match against its biggest rivals, Pakistan.
Barcelona v/s Real Madrid is a great rivalry in football, similar to India v/s Pakistan in cricket.
Two great teams and the biggest rival are all set to play against each other in Melbourne.
India won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Pakistan Innings
Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam opened the innings for Pakistan.
Arshdeep Singh, coming out to bowl the second over, took the wicket of Babar in his first delivery of the World Cup.
He didn’t let the other opener settle down as he took his wicket as well in his second over.
Pakistan was in great trouble when Shah Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed started to handle the situation.
They both completed their half-centuries and, because of their knocks, Pakistan was able to put up a total of 159/8.
Arshdeep and Hardik gave outstanding figures as they both took three wickets each.
Through their excellent bowling, India was able to stop Pakistan at a minimum score.
India Innings
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.
In the second over, India got their first breakthrough in the form of KL.
At that point, there were frequent wickets, as, by the time the powerplay ended, India was on a score of 31/4.
From there, Virat and Hardik took over the match and started to form a partnership.
Their partnership of 113 runs brought India back into the game.
Virat also completed his half-century as he also started to take the game deeply.
In the 19th over, Virat smashed the best Pakistani bowler, Haris Rauf, for two back-to-back sixes.
In the last over, India needed 16 runs out of six deliveries. Kholi, keeping his temper calm, brought India to victory.
It was a match to see, remember, and hold a special place in history as India won by four wickets.
In the interview, Virat Kohli was later overwhelmed by the love and support everyone gave him in his low time.
Virat Kohli marked his presence and was back in form as he was also the Player of the Match.
