Moong Labs, a game developing firm which claims to be a leading developer of 3D cricket simulation games, has received an undisclosed amount of investment from Nazara Games.

Last year, the company had entered into a publishing partnership with Nazara Games to publish their realistic simulation mobile cricket game on Virat Kohli. Under the partnership, it published two games — Virat Super Cricket and Epic Cricket.

Taking the partnership with Moong Labs forward, Nazara Games has invested in the company. With this funding, the company will now focus on augmenting their game engine and develop games which can be globally successful. It aims to give the same experience to cricket game lovers as the football game lovers gets via FIFA.

Manish Agarwal, CEO of Nazara Games, said:

I will like to thank Samit and his team at Moong labs for this great partnership over the last one year and we are confident that this partnership will bring new, innovative game experience for the mobile cricket game fans across the world. We believe in their team’s idea of ‘not just making a game but changing the landscape of mobile cricket gaming globally’ and that’s what excites us to make this investment in Moong Labs.

Samit Babbar, Head of Mobile Gaming at Moong Labs, said:

We are very excited about our partnership with Nazara, who share our vision of bringing ultra-realistic game experience on mobile for cricket fans across the world. We have built proprietary algorithms inside our game engine that will enable us to provide next generation visual and auditory experience on mobile devices to everyone.

Nazara Games says that they are committed to bringing world class experience to millions of fans of cricket based mobile games and is looking at strengthening partnership with development studios which have developed successful cricket games locally and globally.

They believe that the global cricket mobile gaming market is underserved within the sports mobile gaming category unlike soccer or baseball or basketball. Manish Agarwal adds that he is confident that “Moong labs will garner lion share of 100 mil USD revenue global opportunity for mobile cricket games in coming years.”

Moong Labs, founded in the year 2013, is a Delhi-based developer and publisher of free-to-play (F2P) games for smartphone and tablet devices. It develops games for all the major platforms, including iOS and Android.
