Paytm Mall, the eCommerce entity of Paytm is all-set to come up with its festive season sale. The sale will be taking place from September 20 to September 23.
Notably, this is the same week on which other eCommerce marketplaces in India, including Amazon India and Flipkart are hosting similar sale events. Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale is taking place on 20-24 September.
As per the reports, Paytm Mall is going to spend as much as ₹501 crore on cashback offers to its customers. The event has been named as ‘Mera Cash Back’.
During the sale, the company will be offering cash-backs ranging 15 percent to 100 percent of merchandise value on consumer electronics, mobile phones, fashion products and other items. The company has partnered with brands like Apple, JBL, Woodland, Timex and others for the sales event.
It will be offering cash-backs worth up to ₹15,000 on smartphones, ₹20,000 on laptops, and up to 20 percent on large appliances like televisions, refrigerators and washing machines. It will also be giving 100 percent cash back to 25 phone buyers and 100 grams Paytm Gold to 200 customers every day during sale period.
Paytm Mall has already started improving its logistics services. It recently announced that the company will be spending around ₹224 crore for improving logistics and start offering same-day and next-day delivery services.
The company has also spent about ₹32 crore for on-board around 50,000 new merchants on its marketplace. Along with that, it also reportedly transferred 800 staff members from Paytm to its eCommerce unit.
Recently, Paytm Mall had announced that it will be spending around ₹1,000 crore during multiple festive season sales around Diwali. Significant portion of the money will be spent on marketing and promotions.
