We are all excited about the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. A new leak has surfaced online, which might be the upcoming affordable version of the Xiaomi flagship smartphone, AKA, the Xiaomi MI 6C. Here are the details regarding the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6C, which might or might not amuse the audience.
In terms of design and aesthetics, the smartphone offers mid-tier specifications. So, this smartphone is expected to be priced at CNY 1,499 (which roughly translates ₹14,990). So, don’t expect a flagship level specifications. In terms of design and build quality, the smartphone follows the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 with a premium full metal unibody design along flushed antenna bands. So, expect a premium looks and design. The smartphone is expected to come with different colour options like Gold, Rose Gold, and Black colour variant.
The most interesting aspect of this device is the display. As one can see in the featured image, the smartphone offers a massive screen with an almost bezel-less design. This display is expected to measure at 6.0-inch (edge to edge) with newer 18:9 aspect ratio display. The display resolution is expected to be at FHD+ resolution (probably an IPS LCD panel).
On to the bottom, the smartphone offers a dual speaker grill, where one of them will be a mono speaker and the main microphone. The smartphone also offers a USB type C port, which should support fast charging capability with a loss-less audio output (the phone is likely to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack).
Finally, the smartphone will be powered by the in-house Surge S2 Octa-core processor, consisting of four A-73 high-performance cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four A-53 energy-efficient cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. This processor is manufactured using 16 nm architecture (this processor is similar to HiSilicon Kirin 659 Octa-core SoC). The smartphone will offer either 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR3 RAM, paired with 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage. As this is a Mi branded smartphone, the smartphone will not offer an SD card slot what so ever.
On to the camera, the Xiaomi Mi 6C is likely to use a dual rear-facing camera setup with a 13 MP main camera with a 5 MP secondary sensor. For the selfie camera, the smartphone is expected to feature a 16 MP selfie camera with a front-facing selfie flash. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone is likely to offer dual nano-SIM card slot with 4G LTE and VoLte capability.
Finally, the device is expected to offer at least 4000 mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capability. To conclude, at this price tag, this device does offer a lot of “bang for the buck”. Let’s wait if we can get this device in India.
