Lava India launches a new entry-level Windows 10 powered Lava Helium earlier today in India for INR 12,999. The notebook boasts all plastic lightweight design, with entry-level specifications. The Notebook will be available for purchase from next week across the country via offline retail stores.

Tech specifications for the Lava Helium 12:

The Lava Helium 12 is equipped with a 12.5-inch 1366 x 768p dense IPS LCD screen with tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Intel Atom Quad-core Z8350 1.4 GHz processor, paired with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB onboard flash storage with a full-sized SD card slot (up to 128 GB). The device runs on Windows 10 Home edition with support for all the legacy Windows applications.

In terms of camera capability, the device is equipped with a 0.3 MP front-facing web camera, which also supports Windows hello (log in using facial recognition). In terms of connectivity, the device does support WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with Bluetooth 4.0 support (for wireless mouse and keyboard connectivity).

When it comes to the ports, the device has a lot of them, which is not even found on the premium flagship notebooks. The Lava helium 12 offers one full-sized USB 3.0 port, one full-sized USB 2.0 port and a mini HDMI port to connect the device to the external display or projector. The notebook weights 1.3 KG and measures 318 x 211 x 20mm, so, carrying it to the college and office will not be a burden on your shoulder.

The device is equipped with 10000 mAh Li-ion battery, which should offer 10 hours of HD video playback without any problem.
