Nokia’s mid-tier smartphone, the Nokia 5 is now available for purchase across India through authorised distributors. This is one of the three devices, that have been launched after Nokia’s comeback.

The design elements of Nokia 5 are inspired from its erstwhile Lumia lineup. All metal unibody with concealed antenna bands does look premium (just like iPhone 7) and the rounded corners with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass is an additional luxury.

FYI: The device will be initially served for those, who have pre booked last month in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune.

The device retails at INR 12,499, at this price point there are many smartphones that offer phenomenal features. However, Nokia 5 does stand rangy in few of these spaces.

Camera: Nokia devices are always known for their camera capabilities. The 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera helps to continue the legacy. Even the 3000 mAh battery will also last at least for a complete day even for a heavy user.

Operating system: Nokia 5 runs on stock android Nougat 7.1.1 and also expected to receive Android O update as soon it accessible to Nokia. Stock Android not only improves the performance of the device, it also adds provides additional security updates as soon as google provides them.

After sale service: Nokia devices always last longer. If any problem persists, well trained Nokia technicians at Nokia service centres always come to the rescue.

Additional value added features: Though Nokia is a budget Android smartphone, HMD global made sure that it has all the necessary features that smartphone enthusiasts from 2017 demand. Finger print sensor, Gyroscopic sensor and ambient light sensor are the few important sensors that Nokia 5 offers.

Nevertheless, its SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 is an entry level chipset, the combination of 720p (5.2-inch screen) paired with 2 GB RAM will make sure that the experience is equivalent to any flagship smartphone.

If you are looking for this device, then go and grab one as soon as possible as the stocks may not last longer (at least for first few weeks).
