Play Store

Google’s Play Store app is rapidly ahead of the competitor App markets. There are many reasons behind the store’s popularity in the App market. One of the main reasons is the company’s extra push towards updating the Store app with cool and new UI and features every now and then. The company also keeps up with new ideas and algorithms to make it more easy for users. Google is continuously working to make it easier for users to spot apps and games based on personal preferences.

Now it seems that Google is testing out a small Play Store redesign. According to various reports, some users have reported seeing the new design. The new design appears to be still in the development state. The new design first showed up a few months ago with limited adjustments. This new look is reportedly a part of a server-side test that is showing up for some user only. However, now the new design has started going out to more users.

New changes in the design of Google Play Store:

Various users have started seeing a new Play Store interface. In the new interface, the green title and notification bar is going to be replaced with a white one. The new design will also remove the green background behind the What’s new section for change logs and it will also be replaced with white. The grey background behind the user’s rating/review of an app is also replaced with white background. In addition to all these changes now there will be a larger green colored Install button.

There are plenty of other changes to the interface too. Now the cards for similar apps and recommendations are not available and there are wider text columns for reviews and also there have been some changes in the font too. The new Play Store design is appearing to hit more and more users over the past couple of months.
