Rumours sprouting about the upcoming Android One smartphone from Xiaomi are getting stronger and stronger.
According to the analysts, Google is working with the so called Chinese Apple, Xiaomi, to launch an affordable smartphone in the developing countries like Africa, Indonesia and India. The recent trend also suggests that the upcoming Android One smartphone from Xiaomi will feature similar features as that of the Xiaomi Mi 5X.
With respect to the build quality, the device will offer premium all metal unibody design with flushed antenna bands. With finger print scanner being placed at the rear end of the device.
According to the device spotted on Geekbench, the device will be powered by Quad-core SoC (allegedly Qualcomm Snapdragon 625) with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage. The device will also feature a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS LCD panel with maximum brightness up to 500 units. The device is also speculated to offer SD card slot considering this device comes under the Android One lineup.
The camera department is the most important aspect, in fact, the device is touted to offer dual camera solution (both RGB sensors). This will be the first Android one smartphone to offer features like X2 optical zoom, Portrait mode and photos with the varied depth of field. The 5 MP front-facing camera will feature wide angle lens for broader selfies, the front camera, as well as the rear camera, can support native 1080p video recording capability with 30 fps speed.
In terms of battery, the device is speculated to offer 3500 mAh Li-ion (non-user replaceable) with fast charging capability. Additional features like OTG support, dual channel WiFi bands and Bluetooth can also be expected in the all new Xiaomi Mi A1.
