London, Sep 3: British lawmakers are scheduled on Tuesday to decide whether to push Britain towards a snap poll to vote on the first part of their plan to block PM Boris Johnson from pursuing no-deal Brexit to withdraw from the European Union (EU) as scheduled on October 31.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said, “The one thing that is holding us back, the handbrake on getting Brexit delivered and getting the country motoring forward, is the lingering sense in Brussels that maybe the shenanigans in parliament will lead to the delay or the cancellation of Brexit.”

Conservative Party rebellious lawmakers were planning with the opposition Labour Party and others to take control of the British parliament and tie the authority’s hands with a law that would prevent a no-deal Brexit exit from the bloc which they believe would ruin the economy.

A coalition of opposition Labour party lawmakers and rebels in the prime minister’s Conservative party will on Tuesday use parliament’s first day to launch their efforts to prevent no-deal Brexit.

With just a day until parliament reopens on Tuesday, Johnson’s enforcers cautioned rebel MPs if they voted against in nature of his government then they would be transferring control of the parliament to the Labour Party chief Jeremy Corbyn.

The alliance will put forth a vote on whether to seize parliamentary agenda control in an attempt to pass a bill that would push Johnson to seek a three-month postponement to the United Kingdom (UK) exit from the bloc., according to Reuters news reports.

Johnson threatened on Monday he would expel rebel MPs from his led Conservative Party if they block his Brexit plans by voting to block no-deal Brexit withdrawal from the European Union (EU).

Johnson said: “Let’s let our negotiators get on with their work without that sword of Damocles over their necks and without an election.

“I don’t want an election, you don’t want an election, let’s get on with the people’s agenda.”

He said rebels want to ‘cut the legs off’ Britain’s negotiating position and called on Parliament to “get Brexit done by Oct 31st”.

Labour Party, British main opposition political party, will pursue every possible step to block no-deal Brexit post-UK parliament reopens on Tuesday, party’s leader Jeremy Corbyn will say on Monday.

Party officials have warned Conservative lawmakers of the UK that their whip would be pulled out if they attempt to block a no-deal Brexit effort, according to Sky News reports on Sunday.

Johnson vowed to deliver Brexit with or without reaching Brexit arrangements with the European Union (EU), but several Conservative lawmakers are seeking to proceed through a legal procedure to block an attempt of no-deal Brexit ahead of parliament suspension.

If any member of parliament of the Conservative party fails to cast a ballot with the authority on Tuesday, will face the whip withdrawn and will not sit as a member of the party in an election, according to Sky News reports, which cited a top-level source from the Tory leadership whips’ office.
