Naypyitaw [Myanmar], Sep 3: The government of Myanmar is planning to renew the visa-on-arrival programme for Chinese and Indian tourists for additional one year, the nation’s ministry of hotels and tourism has said on Tuesday.

According to ANI news reports, the ministry has on late Monday divulged it will renew visa exemption plans for tourists from South Korea and Japan for additional one year till September 30, 2020, in order to attract more travellers to the nation.

The visa exemption plans were originally permitted for tourists from South Korea and Japan and the visa-on-arrival scheme for those from Beijing from Oct 1, 2018, to Sep 30, 2019.

However, now visa-on-arrival was offered for Indian visitors for another year from Dec 1, 2018, to November 30, 2020, according to the ministry.
