If something is ageing well, then it does require a minor makeover with time to cope up with the market conditions. Many carmakers have been doing it since a really long time. However, it is now trending among bike manufacturers as well.

Recently, Hero MotoCorp has introduced the 100 Million Edition for its entire lineup. But, this time, it is the Hero Destini 125 that gets a Platinum Edition. So what exactly is the Platinum Edition? What all updates can be seen on the limited edition Destini? Well, we are here to answer that just for you.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hero has launched the all-new Hero Destini 125 Platinum Edition in India.
  • It gets several cosmetic updates with a new Matte Black color scheme.
  • The Platinum Edition continues to get powered by a 124.6cc air-cooled engine.

Hero Destini 125 Platinum Edition

The updates on the all-new Hero Destini Platinum Edition are quite stunning. To begin with, it is now available with a Matte Black colour scheme with a combination of brown on the inside panels including the seat. For a more premium touch, it gets a lot of chrome treatment all around. To be precise, the exhaust guard, wing mirrors and side fenders are now finished in chrome. Meanwhile, for everyone to know that this is the Platinum Edition, there is a ‘Platinum’ badging on both sides. Keen observers will be able to spot a similar treatment on the seat as well.

At the heart, it comes with the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine. Surprisingly, this motor is truly capable of producing 9BHP of power @ 7000 RPM. The peak torque on the other hand stands at 10.4Nm @ 5500 RPM. Not to forget, Hero continues to offer the i3S smart system on the Destini.

It looks premium. Gets a refined engine. But the core remains exactly the same. Just like the engine, the mechanical bits of the Hero Destini 125 Platinum Edition remain untouched. For instance, the suspension duties on the limited edition scooter are taken care of by the same telescopic forks upfront. Meanwhile, at the rear, it comes equipped with a linked monoshock setup.
