HIGHLIGHTS: 

  • Royal Enfield has increased the price of RE Classic 350 and RE Himalayan.
  • Both the motorcycles are now expensive by ₹1837.
  • Recently, Royal Enfield also revised the price of RE Interceptor 650 and RE Continental GT 650.

After increasing the price of the 650 twins in India, Royal Enfield has announced a price hike on both the RE Classic 350 and RE Himalayan. Meanwhile, the motorcycles will now be expensive by ₹1837 which is similar to what the 650 twins experienced earlier. The price hike according to the experts are due to the update to the stricter BS6 emission norms. Earlier, the BS6 compliant RE Interceptor 650 as well as the RE Continental GT 650 also received a similar price hike.

The BS6 RE Classic 350 Single Channel ABS variant will now cost ₹1,61,688 from ₹1,59,851. Meanwhile, the Dual Channel ABS variant of RE Classic 350 will now start from ₹1,69,617-₹1,86,319 which earlier started from ₹1,67,780-₹1,84,482. After this price hike, the BS6 compliant Royal Enfield Classic 350 is expensive by ₹16,000 when compared to the BS4 variant. The all-new RE Classic 350 gets powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine produces 20.07PS of power with a peak torque of 28Nm. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets a 13.5-litre fuel tank.

Likewise, the BS6 RE Himalayan now costs ₹1,91,401 for the Granite Black/Snow White variant. Meanwhile, the Sleet Grey/Gravel Grey now costs ₹1,94,155 and the Lake Blue/Rock Red variant comes with a price tag of ₹1,95,990. Royal Enfield Himalayan with its BS6 update now gets a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This particular engine produces 24.83PS of power and 32Nm of torque with a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel tank capacity of the RE Himalayan is 15 litres. Meanwhile, Royal Enfield offers disc brakes on both front as well as the rear on the Himalayan as standard.
