Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR
Design
It looks more of a sports bike but to be precise, the all-new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR is a cafe race. With a half-faired front end and a circular LED headlight, it will definitely remind you of the retro motorcycles. Interestingly, several panels finished in carbon fibre helps in maintaining a healthy weight throughout.
Triumph Motorcycles has also decided to offer two dual-tone colour shades for the Speed Triple 1200 RR. The first one is of course a combination of Red Hopper/Storm Grey. Meanwhile, the other one also looks absolutely striking with Crystal White and Storm Grey colour schemes.
Features
You might get confused between the RS and RR models. But to differentiate, several new components including a 5-inch TFT instrument console, a new handlebar and an electronically adjustable suspension setup among others. Other features including all-LED lighting, cruise control, multiple ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control and backlit switches works fluently in conjunction with each other.
Hardware & Warranty
Braking duties on either end are managed by Brembo units. However, it is the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 rubbers that enhances the overall ride and handling for Speed Triple 1200 RR.
Worried about the after-sales service? Well, Triumph Motorcycles has announced to offer 2 years warranty for the entire cafe race bike. Surprisingly, even the time interval is quite long enough to make the ownership experience hassle-free.
Engine
At the heart, the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RR features the same old 1160cc three-cylinder engine. According to the British bike manufacturer, this unit is still capable of producing a massive 180HP alongside a peak torque of 125Nm. There’s even a new 6-speed gearbox that comes with a slip/assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.
Alternatives
No, it is not at all a sports bike but globally, the all-new Triumph Speed Triple RR will compete with the BMW S 1000 RR. Want to learn more about it? Check out all the details down below.
BMW S 1000 RR
