As per the orders of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application for several exams. These include ICAR, JNU entrance exam, UGC NET, NCHM JEE 2020, etc. The applications have been extended till June 15.

This decision was taken to aid the students in this pandemic. HRD Minister Ramesh Pohkiryal mentioned in a tweet, “ In view of many requests received from students and the hardships faced by them due to COVID-19 epidemic, I have advised @DG_NTA to further extend the last dates of submission of Online Application Forms for the following exams: pic.twitter.com/koM9wwAjds” on 31 May 2020.

The candidates can now apply in the official website nta.ac.in. Previously the application was scheduled to close on April 30. It was then extended to May 31, now to June 15.

Due to the corona virus outbreak, both the NTA exams and the NEET exam are postponed to July. This is because the mass gatherings aren’t welcomed considering the present situation.

The UGC proposes to start a fresh academic calendar by September, as the entire academic activities have been postponed for a month. As per the discussion, the admission process might start in August.
