As the current situation has stopped the classes and schools for student all around the country, Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has called on post graduate students in the country to take maximum advantage out of the e-PG Pathshala platform. He stated that MHRD has launched the platform which offers curriculum-based, interactive e-content in total of around 70 subjects across all disciplines of social sciences.

Users can also host their e-books on the platform, apart from accessing free e-books and curriculum based e-content.

Some of the major important aspects of e-PG Pathshala includes e-Adhyayan, UGC MOOCs, and e-Pathya.

e-Adhyayan which is known as e-books is a vertical of e-Pathshala which has around 700 e-books for all the PG courses covered in the country. All  of the e-books have been derived for the students from e-PG Pathshala courses. The platform also allows students to access video content playlist.

UGC MOOCs is one of the verticals which is responsible for producing course on PG subjects for SWAYAM platform.

e-Pathya, can be accessed offline. It is another vertical of e-Pathshala which is completely a software driven course/content package which has been offering students in pursuing higher education (PG level) through distance learning as well as campus learning mode.The content of the course can also be accessed offline.

With the lockdown bringing every activity including academic activities to a full stop, MHRD, UGC, and other relevant bodies have been planning and coming up with different ideas for promoting online methods of learning to continue educating for all the students across the country.

Earlier, UGC  had also suggested e-PG Pathshala in the list of online courses which has total o f 23,000 modules in 70 PG disciplines of Social Sciences, arts, fine arts and humanities, and natural and mathematical sciences.
