During the press conference at the JW Marriot, Chandigarh, the IDP Education, termed as the global leader in providing education services, announced the launching of four computer-based IELTS centers in Punjab. With this, the participating candidates will receive their results in 5 to 7 days after they have appeared for the exam.

On the occasion, Mr. Piyush Kumar, Regional Director, South Asia – IDP Education said; “Punjab is an important region for us and we wanted to create more opportunities for students. With the opening of these centers, we are aiming to provide test takers from Punjab a launch pad for professional success by helping them to achieve their international education and career goals.”

This will provide flexibility to the students as the IELTS test will be conducted three times a day at these centers from Monday to Saturday. This will also let students highlight their answers also recheck their answers and will be attempting their exam on the computer instead of the manual based. They can also practice tests on the computer in the same way as the day of the exam at the official IDP website.

Mr. Vishal Gupta, Director IELTS Operations, South Asia, Indonesia, and Malaysia said; “IELTS scores are accepted by over 10,000 universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States. It is the only test that is available in two formats – paper-based and computer-delivered. We introduced this new option as we want to empower test takers to choose how and when they take their world-leading test.”

“In fact, now a student can easily switch from a paper-based format to computer-delivered IELTS at no extra cost at all”.
