The Madhyamik Examination, conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, commencing from February 12 was reported to be identifying a leak. The Bengali Exam conducted under the Madhyamik Examination was reported to be leaked on Tuesday. It was observed that the question paper was circulated on Whatsapp, and as soon as the images reached the Senior Board official, they were soon reported to be lodging a complaint against it.

“We lodged the police complaint as we want to find out who had clicked the photo and forwarded the same among others to create mischief,” WBBSE president Kalyanmoy Ganguly said.

“The images were taken and forwarded on Whatsapp after the exams began. By that time candidates were already writing their papers inside the center. So there has been no leak.”

“We do not have a report of any question paper leak and the first day examinations passed off smoothly everywhere in the state, including the hills,” the board president said.

Avishek Chakraborty, OC examination, Ratua said, “Till now, no such incidents were reported to me. We have to verify the report, and actions will be taken if it was proved.”

A total of 10.66 lakh students appeared for the examination commenced from February 12. Also, this situation led to suspicion transferred to the Head Master Subhasnagar High School in Jalpaiguri district who was caught last year for leaking the paper.
