The Ministry of Human Resource Development has invited applications from this year graduates from 2019 for “2019 Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) for International Students enrolled in Graduate Program”. The Scholarship will be provided for facilitating the Master’s, Doctoral, and Research Programmes. The number for the students getting shortlisted are 15, out of which only 10 will be awarded the scholarship funding for the same by the Government of Republic of Korea.

The subjects, for which the scholarship is provided for:

  • Korean Language and Literature
  • International Relations (including Korean Studies)
  • Bio-Technology
  • Electronic Engineering

For being eligible to avail the scholarship for the Master’s/Doctoral Programme, the candidate must be less than 40 years old as of September 1, 1979.

The candidates availing for the scholarship if practicing as a professor must be less than 45 years old.

Also, for being able to avail the scholarship for the Master’s programme scholarship, the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree related to the scholarship they are availing to.

For Doctoral programme scholarship, the candidate must hold a Master’s degree related to the scholarship they are availing to.

For Research programme scholarship, the candidate must have received an invitation from one of the National Institute for International Education (NIIED’s) designated Korean Universities and must hold the following qualification:

  • Postdoctoral Research Program: Applicants must hold a Doctoral degree by August 31, 2019.
  •  Professor Exchange Program: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree by August 31, 2019.
  •  Program for Education, Science, Culture, (International Professionals): Applicants must hold a Master’s degree by August 31, 2019.

The Applications has been released on the official website, and candidates can apply through Sakshat Portal http://proposal.sakshat.ac.in/scholarship/

The Last date to apply for the scholarship is March 20, 2019.
