The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to extend the registration deadline for NEET-UG (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) 2021 medical entrance exam.
The registration window for NEET-UG 2021 will now remain open till August 10, 2021, 5 PM. While the applicant is allowed to pay the registration fee till 11:59 PM on the same date.
Interest candidates can register themselves online through the official website of NTA at http://neet.nta.nic.in. The registration process began on July 13 and was earlier scheduled to end on August 6.
Reason for deadline extension;
NTA in an official notification mentioned that specific requests were recieved from the nursing colleges affiliated with Delhi University to include them as a participating institution for NEET-UG 2021.
The Nursing institutes in their request added that this will enable them to use the result data of NEET-UG as an eligibility criteria for students to grant admissions in B.Sc. (Honours) Nursing Courses.
Therefore, NTA informed that students seeking admission in nursing courses will also have to appear in NEET-UG exam. And to facilitate such students, the registration dates are being extended.

Intrested candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for NEET-UG 2021-
- Visit the official website of NTA as mentioned above.
- On the Homepage, Click on the option for “Fill Registration Form”.
- You will be redirected to a new page.
- Here, Click on New Registration and Agree the terms and conditions to proceed.
- On the next page, Fill all the required details in designated sections and click on submit.
- Now, upload the scanned copy of required documents and pay the registration fee using the available payment options.
- On successful payment, your registration from will be submitted. Preserve a copy of your form for future references.
New dates for application correction window;
Due to the extension of registration deadline for NEET-UG 2021, NTA has also revised the dates of application correction window for students who are already registered and wish to make changes in their provided details.
As per the new schedule, The window will now open from August 11, 2021 and will remain functional till August 14, 2021. It must be noted that the facility for making corrections in registration form will be made available only once.
