Well-known singer and music composer Anu Malik is about to make his Marathi musical debut with the upcoming film ‘Aasud’. The makers of the film organized an event in which Maharashtra’s State Home Minister Dr. Ranjit Patil launched the music album. Anu Malik is the music composer and his daughter Anmol Malik has given her voice to the song ‘Nako Sarkari Subsidy’.
The film ‘Aasud’ is written and directed by Nilesh Jalamkar along with Amol Tale. It is produced by Deepak Morey and Vijay Jadhav under the Govind Production’s banner. The film showcases the farmers’ contest against the system. It is scheduled to release on February 8, 2019.
Malik is already ruling the Hindi film industry since the 90s along with some other singers and composers, now he is planning to establish in Marathi Film Industry after the invasion. Some of his hit numbers like “Oonchi Hai Building”, “Garam Chaaye Ki Pyaali Ho”, and “Jaanam Samja Karo” are still remembered.
Malik is not a mainstream singer but he does playback singing for his own compositions. He is a seven-time winner from 42 nominations for best music director, including 14 nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’ received the Filmfare Award for Best Music Direction.
