Actress Esha Deol has been away from the films for a while but that hasn’t dented her fan following which she enjoys on social media.

She recently turned a year older and shared some of her lovely pictures on her Instagram profile, wishing herself a happy birthday.

On the professional front, Esha was last seen in the short film ‘Cakewalk’ and has also appeared in minor roles in some regional language films like ‘ Care of Footpath 2’, ‘Kill Them Young’ and ‘Maanja’.

Her last full-fledged role in Bollywood was in the 2011 drama film ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’ which was directed by her mother Hema Malini and co-starred her father Dharmendra.

The film was a critical and commercial failure and Esha left her acting career. She married her college friend businessman Bharat Takhtani in June 2012. The couple have two daughters.

Esha had made her debut in 2002 with ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

She has acted in films like ‘Yuva’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Kucch Toh Hai’, ‘LOC Kargil’ and ‘Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne.’
