“Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness” – Seneca
Kindness is a powerful tool, though not many are aware of it in this world. Actor, Sonu Sood though is a man who certainly knows this. He has conspicuously shown it also with his service for the migrant community.
The actor, has helped many migrants to reach their homes during lockdown and has even provided financial assistance to those, who have suffered from a lack of finance.
Sonu has again now come forward to help 400 migrants. These migrants are those who have died or got injured while travelling to their respective home towns. In a bid to help them, he has collected bank details of all the migrants who passed away and belonged to the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
All of this, is being done under his initiative, #GharBhejo. This initiative was started with hia friend, Neeti Goel. Sonu, talked about his latest gesture for the migrants with Times Of India and said :
“I’ve decided to help families of the deceased or injured migrants for them to have a secure future. I feel it’s my personal responsibility to support them.”
Apart from arranging buses and trains for the travel of migrants during lockdown, He had provided them with meals too. His magnanimous efforts have drawn praise from everyone and he has become a symbol of both inspiration and hope.
