Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh will be producing his brother Naman’s directorial debut movie ‘Bypass Road’. The actor has also penned down the script of the movie in which he is playing paraplegic patient.

Neil informed that 95% of the film is already complete, he said, Neil said, “It’s been a challenging role because of the genre and my character. I had to undergo a drastic physical transformation. I had got in great shape for ‘Saaho’ but for this role, I was required to gain weight. A wheelchair-bound man can’t have six-pack abs we had to make it realistic. There was a lot of research that went into the equipment my character uses.”

He also informed that both manual and automatic wheelchairs were used in the film which were controlled by him. He told, “I also had to learn how to operate the joystick. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be. You are constantly using your arms to pull yourself up. Now that I have gained weight, pushing myself around was tough as well. My trainer was present on set as the shoulder bears the brunt of all the movement.”

After telling about the team members’ 16-17 hours shift, he added,  “There’s a great amount of detailing that has gone into this role.”

“We have just six days of principal shooting left. After the last schedule of ‘Saaho’ in Hyderabad, I will complete this film. Naman has done a fabulous job. I’m lucky to work with so many young directors. Both Naman and Sujit ‘Saaho’ director are 26. Naman is my baby brother and I’m protective of him. But on set, he’s a man with the controls,” Neil said.
