Liza Koshy and David Dobrik were once one of the most popular couple YouTubers who had succeeded in creating a large fan base of over 20 million people who loved to watch their short vlogs posted on their respective YouTube channels. Thus, the news of them breaking up, which came with a straightforward caption on Liza’s Twitter post Tuesday morning, took the entire social community by surprise.
Liza and David had both established a stable fanbase after posting well-appreciated comedy videos on Vine, back in 2013. Liza’s most recent Twitter post linked her fans to the duo’s latest video which was posted on Dobrik’s channel, where both of them spoke about their relationship – the end of that rather, in a very tearful manner. In the video, Liza and David revealed that they had split up six months ago, but had postponed the official announcement of that until this week. Throughout the video David explained how their relationship had taken a turn for the worse up to a point where it felt quite unhealthy for them to continue to be together. The duo also admitted that the combined pressure of their YouTube careers had also played an important part in the break-up.
The entire video was delivered in a very ambivalent manner, where both the American personalities explained that their friendship had not been affected by the untimely break-up. It was then revealed that Liza had pulled the trigger after she voiced the mutual feelings of distance and separation that both of them had been feeling for a long while. This split, however, is not expected to affect their separate careers at all, as both Liza and David have confirmed that none of them had hurt each other during the break-up, and that their relations were stronger than ever.
