The much awaited second trailer of Christopher Nolan’s new epic ‘Tenet’ has finally arrived. Described as an espionage thriller, the film looks intriguing and filled with massive action seqeuences.
Like any other Nolan film, Tenet’s trailer does not reveal much. There is a talk of preventing ‘World War III’, reverse flow of time and ‘inversion’ which seems is going to be at the core of the film.
In one scene of the trailer, we see the audience sitting unconsciously in a theatre and the need for ‘Tenet’. What exactly is ‘Tenet ‘? We don’t know this yet and only the film is going to answer this burning question.
Besides David John Washington and Robert Pattinson, the film also features Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, Dimple Kapadia, Elizabeth Debicki, Clemence Posey And Aaron-Taylor Johnson.
Christopher Nolan, is adamant to release the film on July 17 in theatres but the new trailer just shows ‘Coming to Cinemas’. A lot of uncertainty surrounds the film’s release date as the Coronavirus pandemic has forced theatres around the world to remain closed.
Warner Bros Pictures’ also want the film to release in theatres but the situation looks highly unlikely as of now. Tenet is made at whopping budget of $225 million, which is just $5million short of another Nolan film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
In an interview for the film Nolan said “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places, We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made”.
The film certainly looks like another masterpiece by Nolan. Watch the trailer below:
