Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are two promising new faces in Bollywood. While Vicky has impressed everyone with his performances in his debut film Masaan and subsequent films, Sara has done only two films but her work has catapulted her in the top league.
It would be interesting to see these two together on the big screen and it seems that it is going to happen soon. Sara Ali Khan has been approached to star in Anees Bazmee’s directorial film which will feature Vicky Kaushal as the male lead.
It was reported last week that Anees Bazmee will be directing a film of Ekta Kapoor’s production which will be an out and out comedy. It was also reported that Vicky had said yes for the project. Well, this is the same film.
Pinkvilla has reported that Sara has also loved the script and said yes to the project. Now, we will see Vicky and Sara sharing the screen space in this romantic comedy.
A source close to the development said, “Anees Bazmee wanted a young and fresh cast for this buddy comedy, which is on the lines of a mad cap entertainer that he’s known for. It’s a comedy of errors and Vicky has already given his nod to the film. He approached Sara Ali Khan because the director feels that she’s a terrific performer and people haven’t still seen the comical side to her.”
“Sara loved the script. It’s an out and out comedy and Ekta is a family friend. Her mother Amrita Singh is very close to Ekta and they were planning to launch Sara anyway in films with Kedarnath. But after a lot of trouble, she had to cop out of the film but she had always promised Amrita that she would work with Sara very soon. It’s finally happening. The film rolls out with Sara and Vicky sometime later next year,” the source added.
