Even after 40 days of its release, Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer ‘KGF‘ is still going strong at the box office. ‘KGF’ has done unthinkable, as it outgrossed the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ at the Karnataka box office.
Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ was the highest grossing movie at the Karnataka box office with the collection of ₹129 crores. But Yash starrer ‘KGF’ has outgrossed the collection of ‘Baahubali 2’ by adding a solid amount of ₹134 crores to its kitty and has become the top movie of its region.
According to the reports, Yash starrer movie has collected ₹240.11 crores globally. The reports also stated that the movie will also observe a rare re-release at the US box office as at the time of release the movie did fairly well but couldn’t reach a lot of audience due to plenty of releases. As with a less number of releases, the distributors have requested a re-release.
Recently, the film made history with its Pakistan release and did well in the neighboring country. ‘KGF’ is truly a ground-breaker for the Kannada film industry, as it did exceptionally well internationally being a regional film. ‘KGF’ was released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi and it had the widest release for a Kannada film as it was released on 2460 screens in India.
