Huawei Y5 Lite

Huawei has launched its entry-level Y5 Lite Android Go edition in Pakistan. The phone will be available at PKR 16,000 which translates roughly to ₹8,200. The company launched its first Android Go smartphone last year which was called Huawei Y3.

The Android Go is a lighter version of the Android operating system released by Google to run on entry-level phones. This OS by Google doesn’t take up much space and therefore can run smoothly on devices with lower RAM capacity.

Huawei Y5 has a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display, 1 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android Oreo 8.1 (Go edition). It sports an 8-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture at the back accompanied with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter with f/2.2 aperture.

The phone is powered by MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which could be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. Y5 is powered by 3020 mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB 2.0.

Huawei has recently been rolling out invites for the event on January 7th in which the company is planning to launch its midrange smartphone Huawei Y9. Huawei Y9 will be exclusively available on Amazon.
