Oppo has launched Oppo K9 5G in China. It is the successor to last year’s Oppo K7. The smartphone draws power from Snapdragon 768G SoC and features a 90Hz AMOLED panel. It comes with 3D liquid cool technology for heat management.

Oppo K9 5G Specifications

Oppo K9 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 5G SoC, coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. The processor is backed by up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB internal storage. There is no dedicated slot for a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 11.1 on top.

Coming to the display, the phone features a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 91.7-percent screen-to-body ratio, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It carries a punch-hole at the top left corner for the front camera. Oppo claims that a sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner is built into the display, developed by Goodix.

As for the cameras, the device sports a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 lens macro shooter. Upfront, a 32MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture is placed under the punch-hole.

Oppo has offered VC liquid-cooled hint sink with copper plates and multi-layer thermal conductive graphite sheet for heat management during extreme gaming sessions. The mobile packs a 4,300mAh battery with 65W rapid charge support. The company claims that the device can be fully charged from 0-percent in 35 minutes.

Connectivity options like 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are on offer. The phone weighs 172 grams.

Oppo K9 5G Price

Oppo K9 5G is offered in Black and Gradient shades. It is priced at CNY 1,899 (Rs. 21,600) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs CNY 2,199 (Rs. 25,000). The phone is already up for pre-booking and will hit the Chinese market on May 11. Oppo hasn’t revealed any details regarding the international availability of the smartphone.

Considering the price range, the smartphone will rival Xiaomi Mi 10i, which is powered by Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC and features a 120Hz IPS LCD panel, a 108MP quad-camera setup at the rear, and a 4,820mAh battery with fast charging, priced at Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.
