The latest development of the imminent release of Redmi Note 9 series in China is regarding the highest-tier device in the lineup. Although Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 are already launched in India, there are new variants headed to Chinese market. The main difference is that the ones headed to China will have support for 5G networks.

The new GeekBench listing shows that the phone is running on Android 10 with 8GB RAM and an octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz. It has scored 645 in the single-core and 1963 in multi-core tests in version 5.2.5 of the benchmarking app.

Redmi Note 9 Pro headed for China will ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G  chipset which is a successor to Snapdragon 720G. The Redmi Note 9 series will be announced for the brand’s home market on 26th November.

Three variants are being expected. Two variants of Redmi Note 9, one with 4G support and the other with 5G support and Redmi Note 9 5G Pro. Specs have not been confirmed for any of the devices but the mid-tier device might arrive with Dimensity 800U chipset. The Pro model might come with 108MP camera, 120Hz display and Snapdragon 750G as mentioned. More specs will be unveiled in this month’s TENAA leak.
