The Sambhal Police of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, September, 28, 2020 arrested 4 persons in connection with betting on IPL cricket matches.
The police seized 11 mobile phones and a television set in the process.
Superintendent of Police, Yamuna Prasad stated that the campaign against all such activities will continue, reported ANINews.
It is noteworthy that since the start of the IPL 2020 season in UAE, arrests relating to betting in IPL have been continuously making the headlines.
The seizure of huge amount of cash, television sets and mobile phones is also a part of the process.
These activities and arrests related to them is not limited to one particular state or district. The Indian Wire has been constantly updating about these proceedings as they take place.
As of now IPL 2020 betting related arrests have been made in several parts of the country including Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh etc.
